Oktoberfest Beag – Cork City
Any of our readers based in Cork who enjoy an occasional libation might be interested in Oktoberfest Beag, a beer festival which is taking place at the old Beamish and Crawford Brewery, South Main Street, Cork from 13th-22nd of September.
This award winning event saw over 7000 visitors last year, and this year promises to be something truly special – with a whole host of special and boutique beers on sale, a cornucopia of authentic Bavarian cuisine, and even a few funfair rides for those with iron stomachs. Be assured that all your continental-style revelry will be accompanied by the most appropriate of soundtracks, as the organisers have arranged the Edelweiss Oompah Band.

FUN!
Tickets for the event are very reasonable, offering a range of packages. We’d recommend the Platinum package, which will guarantee you entry to the event, hold some seats for you, and give you 4 drinks vouchers and a “substantial Bavarian meal” prepared by (absolutely no joke) chef Hans Frankfurter. You get all this for €32 in earth money.

Lollygaggin’ will be Frau-ned upon.
Last year’s event was the winner of the Best Public Affairs campaign at the Awards for Excellence in Public Relations 2010, so we’re expecting good things. Good, beery, drunken things.
